A Series of Paintings Confronting Systemic Power, Collective Grief, and Dystopian Silence

Boston, Massachusetts — Lazarus Ball is a sustained body of abstract paintings that bears witness to the speed and scale of systemic violence — from corporate greed and surveillance structures to war, technological acceleration, and social erasure.

This series is not protest art in the conventional sense — it is testimony, evidence, and a mirror held up to society’s complicity in harm.

Across more than 120 large-scale canvases organized into four conceptual books — Book of the Heart, Book of the Dead, Book of the Sky, and Book of the Night — the series moves between registers of grief and indictment.

In a time when social platforms filter speech, corporate influence shapes narrative, and technological acceleration outpaces ethical reflection, Lazarus Ball interrogates how systems of power enable deprivation, silence dissent, and prioritize profit and control over human lives.

Biomorphic figures, sprites and souls developed over decades of mark-making, traverse landscapes of war, surveillance, corporate corruption, and political violence. They name the dead. They refuse erasure.
